The Appointment of First Medical Director

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (September 26, 2014) PWeR, Inc.,is pleased to announce the appointment of its first Medical Director, Dr. Pedro A. Sanchez, D.O. Dr. Sanchez is a graduate of Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and served his residency at Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Florida. Dr. Sanchez is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, and has been a successful family practice physician for over 25 years.

Noel J. Guillama, President of PWeR, Inc. commented, “We are extremely pleased to have Dr. Sanchez join our team officially. It has been a pleasure to have had Dr. Sanchez working with us for the past few months in a consulting capacity, and assisting us in making the finishing touches to our Certified PWeR® 2.0 platform [see below for Certification information]. Dr. Sanchez has had a very positive impact on the final product, and his suggestions and input have had a definite beneficial impact. His biggest contribution has turned out to be one of the most well liked features of PWeR today; the innovative “PWeR Medical Notes” section. It has been gratifying to work with a professional like Dr. Sanchez who has both the broad clinical and practice management experience at the center, and is looking to have a modern electronic healthcare record (EHR) become a more viable tool to a create a better healthcare delivery system.”

Dr. Sanchez commented, “PWeR is truly a quantum leap forward, and represents what the PWeR team chose as their name. The program is amazing in the way it integrates the latest information technology with day-to-day practice of clinical medicine. I have fallen in love with many of its features including the comprehensive and easy to use patient dashboard that allows me to engage a patient more quickly and accurately. I believe it will improve safety, quality, and efficiency all in one-step with an ergonomic design that allows pertinent information to be scanned, and assimilated in just a few seconds. I believe the practice of health care will be changed by a platform like PWeR, that allows all of those like me involved in the care of the patient, to have instant access to all pertinent information in real-time.”

Mr. Guillama noted that Dr. Sanchez “will have a continuing input on all key points as we continue to enhance and deploy PWeR going forward. Our goal, as a team, is to continue to refine the solution that is much more than just the conversion of paper medical records to electronic format; we want to improve quality and create efficiencies by building a more responsive and easier to use platform.”

The Company has also recently announced recently that it has initiated efforts to comply with the 2014 U.S. government Stage 2 Meaningful Use (MU-2) mandates.  The Company confirmed it is also pursuing the goal to provide major improvement in how patients and their providers interact by adding a robust patient portal and a fully integrated Telemedicine module, both by mid-2015. These two significant additions to the PWeR platform are intrinsic to the commitment of the Company to drive patient Wellness and improve the ability of the patient to be more involved in their own healthcare.
